Dominick’s Mobile Apps and Site by Safeway
Challenge
Develop iOS and Android mobile applications and site for Dominick’s stores that integrates with the Safeway backend and other third party vendor systems.
Execution
We utilized our RedShop platform combined with custom solutions to address Safeway’s need for apps and sites. Since integration with the extensive loyalty coupon system was essential we teamed up with Safeway’s third party vendors to execute an intelligent personalized and elegant solution. Close communication and collaboration was essential.

Results
To date, the iPhone app has exceeded the expectations on the number of downloads. Consumer engagement is very high with solid growth in clipping and usage. Safeway has a number of grocery store brands under its umbrella, and mobile apps and sites continue to be rolled out using the Dominick’s formula. One of Safeway’s other store brands, Vons, is already number 15 in the lifestyle category of the app store.
